About us

A lot of early-stage startups struggle to raise capital because investors would like to see more traction. However, startups are only able to increase traction significantly if they have capital to invest in marketing. This is a traditional chicken and egg problem.

If a startup is able to raise capital, it is often a very low amount for a big chunk of equity. Most of that capital will be used for marketing. However, since it is a limited amount, the startup won’t scale fast enough to get a significant increase in traction.

That’s why we founded Influencer Capital: to take measures into our own hands. We do this by investing influencer marketing exposure into consumer brands & technologies. We partner up with the web’s most recognizable faces to put your startup in front of millions of consumers.

We enable startups to get mass marketing without a capital investment, increase traction significantly, win market share, and leave competitors behind forever. We won’t wait until your metrics are good enough to invest. We will help you get there ourselves.

Team

Besides investors, we also have been startup founders ourselves. We know everything about starting and scaling companies, and will help you do the same.

I spent a lot of time working abroad in places like Silicon Valley, Toronto, Cape Town & Bucharest. Here, I was always involved in the startup ecosystem, helping startups to start, scale & raise capital. When I returned to the Netherlands, I co-founded Straise, an investment banking firm specializing in startups. I exited Straise to pursue my passion for investing in startups which led to the founding of Influencer Capital.

Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.
